In 2014, the California Sustainable Groundwater Management Act was signed into law to provide local agencies with the framework to manage groundwater basins in a sustainable manner, recognizing that groundwater is most effectively managed at the local level. The Aliso Water District Groundwater Sustainability Agency (GSA) represents the interests of the groundwater users within the Aliso Water District. Aliso Water District & GSA Board Meetings: The Aliso Water District and Aliso Water District GSA Board of Directors meet on the fourth Tuesday of every quarter at 1:30 p.m. at the Aliso Water District office, located at 13991 Avenue 7 in Madera, California. Board meeting agendas are posted a week before the meeting.

Annual Report Submitted for Delta-Mendota Subbasin: The first Annual Report was submitted on April 1, 2020, a consolidated report for all GSAs within the Delta-Mendota Subbasin.

Groundwater Sustainability Plan for Public Review: The Aliso Water District's Groundwater Sustainability Plan (GSP) is available by downloading from the provided link, or a hard copy is available at the District's office.
Public Notice for Temporary Water Right Permit Application of the Aliso Water District: Aliso Water District filed a temporary water right permit application on August 26, 2022 to appropriate surface water flows for underground storage. Pursuant to Water Code section 1428, subdivision (d), any interested person may file an objection to the temporary diversion and use of water, with copy to the Aliso Water District. Objections are due by 4:30 p.m. October 7, 2022 and may be emailed to Shelby Witherby at Shelby.Witherby@waterboards.ca.gov.
